How are thyroid nodules found?
You may happen to feel a small lump in your throat while shaving or applying lotion or make-up.
During a routine exam, your doctor may feel a small lump in your throat on your thyroid gland.
You may experience difficulty swallowing or breathing or have a persistent sore throat.
A nodule may be discovered on imaging or another type of scan being performed for other reasons.
